Helping or hindering?


The Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis has a nice graph comparing the change in employment during 11 different recessions going back to 1948. To the degree that private employment is affected by government spending, it appears that recovery from this recession is being hindered, not helped, by massive government spending.
